Pilar is a Qualified Supervisor for Registered Social Work Interns. She acknowledges that Clinical supervision is key in an early career and of social workers as levels of competence increase when clinical supervision has been effective. Supervision has three primary domains; administrative, educational, and supportive. The combination of these is necessary for the development of competent, ethical, and professional social workers.
Pilar utilizes standards that provide a general framework from The National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB). These standards support and strengthen supervision for professional social workers.
