Pilar Gutierrez, founder of Nova Counseling Services, holds a master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Barry University. As a licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida, Pilar’s career began in child welfare and family reunification with the Department of Children and Families. With a focus on dual diagnosis and substance use treatment, she is a Certified Addiction Professional and a qualified supervisor for social work interns. Pilar’s commitment to providing outpatient counseling is driven by her dedication to guiding individuals and families toward emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being.

Brittany Kozielski, LCSW, CCPT
Therapist

Brittany Kozielski, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a master’s degree from the University of Central Florida, is a dedicated Psychotherapist at Nova. Her experience began in inpatient settings, offering therapy and discharge planning in medical and psychiatric hospitals. Brittany focuses her therapeutic approach in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), targeting irrational thinking and teaching emotional regulation skills. Brittany’s person-centered approach empowers clients to manage symptoms of depression, anxiety, anger, bipolar disorder, and PTSD, aligning with Nova’s foundation that emphasizes support throughout the therapeutic journey.

Rebecca Booth

Rebecca Booth holds certifications from The Florida Certification Board as an Addiction Counselor, Recovery Residence Administrator, and Peer Recovery Support Specialist. As a certified Recovery Coach through the CCAR Academy, Rebecca is devoted to guiding individuals towards personal growth through comprehensive support, advocacy, and mentoring. Her specialties extend to crafting Policies and Procedures that ensure adherence to the state standards of care for treatment center and recovery homes. In alignment with Nova’s core values, Rebecca underscores that the journey to recovery begins when a person decides to commit, fostering a sense of hope and empowerment.
